You are moving to a new home and have a firearms licence? Then, you must communicate your change of address to the Canadian Firearms Program (CFP) of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, as soon as you can prior to your move.
Why do I have to change my address with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police?

- New address (indicate if the physical address is different than the mailing address).
How do I change my address for my firearm(s)?
You can update your address with RCMP 4 different ways.
1. Using MovingWaldo’s address change service
By using MovingWaldo’ change of address service, you can notify the RCMP of your new address along with 700 other institutions and suppliers simultaneously.
2. Using your secure GCKey account
Canadians citizens that possess firearms have the option to create a GCKey account to securely access multiple online services offered by the Government of Canada and manage their profile.

I don’t have a GCKey account!
You can create an account on the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) website. Like most Government of Canada online accounts, you must first register using a Sign-in Partner.
3. By phone
You can communicate your change of address to the Canadian Firearms Program (CFP) of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police by phone from Monday to Friday, between 9AM and 5PM.
