What is the Canada Savings Bonds Program?
Canada Savings Bonds (CSBs) were investment instruments offered by the Government of Canada. As of November 2017, CSBs were no longer available for purchase.
Who must change their address for the Canada Savings Bonds Program?
Even if CSBs are no longer available, the bonds you own will continue earning interest until maturity or redemption. As a result, your personal information has to stay up-to-date with the Government. If you own a CSB and are moving soon, you need to report the change of address to the Government.
How to change your address with the Canada Savings Bonds Program?
There are two ways you can change your address for the Canada Savings Bonds Program
- Online:
For Payroll Plan owners:
- Single Plan: change your address by logging in to CSB Online Services and selecting “Contact Information” from the left navigation menu.
- Joint or Third-Party Plan: change your address by completing the Change of Address and Direct Deposit (COADD) Form.
For Certified Bond Owners and Registered Product Owners (Canada RSP and Canada RIF):
Change your address by following these steps:
- Complete the Change of Address and Direct Deposit Form and Guidelines (COADD).
- Fax or mail the form to Customer Service depending on the bond type (Payroll, Certificated, or Registered Products).
