When should I notify RBS of my move?

The best time to notify RBS of your move is one or two weeks before you move. It will give RBS enough time to update your details in their records and send your most recent credit card statement to your new address. 

 

How to change your address with RBS

You can choose to update your address with RBS online, by post, in person or by phone. Let’s learn more about it in detail!

Completing your RBS change of address online is a quick and easy option to let Royal Bank of Scotland know about your move. There are 2 ways to do so: through digital banking or through the mobile app.

Option #1: Online through digital banking

Step 1: Log in to your Digital Banking account.

Step 2: From the left-hand menu, click on “Your Details“.

Step 3: Next, select “Update address details“.

Step 4: Enter your new address details.

Option #2: Online through Mobile Banking

Step 1: Log in to the Royal Bank mobile banking app.

Step 2: Select your profile in the top right corner.

Step 3: Choose “Manage personal details“.

Step 4: Select the arrow where your address is written.

Step 5: On-screen instructions given will guide you further into this.

Tip: You can also chat with Cora, RBS’ digital assistant, if you need help updating your address. When logged in, simply click on “Help“ then select “Chat to Cora“.

2. By phone

RBS also allows you to notify them of your change of address by phone. Here are the steps to follow:

Step 1: Call on either of these designated numbers:

You will be directed to an automated menu.

Step 3: Press 4 to connect to the RBS team for address change.

Step 4: A designated representative will further guide you through the process.

Step 5: Once done, check your digital bank profile to see if it has been updated or wait for an alert from the bank.

3. In branch

If you prefer, you can complete your RBS change of address in branch. To do so, follow the instructions below:

Step 1: Use the RBS branch locator to find out the exact location and opening hours of the branch you are to visit.

Step 3: An RBS bank representative will help you update your address.

Note for credit card customers: It will take 2 days to update your address after the change of address form is submitted by the branch.
