Have you noticed any damages during your move booked through MovingWaldo? We’re here to assist you!

Important Information:

The moving company with which you contracted is responsible for any damages that occur during the move. Therefore, any compensation will be managed by them. MovingWaldo’s role is to assist you in preparing the claim to optimize your chances of satisfaction.
Claims for compensation must be filed within 24 hours of your move. Why? Because the longer the time between the move and the claim, the more difficult it is for the mover to assess the context of the damages and provide a satisfactory solution.
In your claim, please provide as much detail as possible and attach photos of all damages.
The standard coverage in the industry is $0.60 per pound, based on the weight of the item, which unfortunately is often insufficient to cover the full replacement cost. Most of our partners offer additional coverage. There are associated fees, and the purchase of this protection must be made before the move.
Damages to property are not included in standard coverage. In some cases, movers may offer compensation for repairs, but they are not required to do so.

Please note that your move must be fully paid for a claims process to take place. You will be reimbursed via your credit card if applicable, or directly by your moving company via e-transfer or wire transfer.

Tips and Tricks

Taking photos of your belongings before the move can be an excellent initiative in case of damages. This will strengthen your case and increase your chances of obtaining a favorable resolution.

The company will review the form and respond by either making an offer or contesting the claim.
