The steps of the Waldo Verified process

By choosing a Waldo Verified moving company, users can minimize risks and avoid common setbacks associated with unreliable movers. Our stringent evaluation process ensures that all Waldo Verified companies uphold the highest standards, providing users with the utmost confidence in their choice of a moving partner. By adhering to these strict criteria, we aim to provide users with confidence and peace of mind, ensuring a seamless and stress-free relocation experience.

We conduct in-depth interviews with company executives to fully understand their operations, values, and commitment to excellence.

We verify the company’s ownership, experience, and business registration to ensure it is legally authorized to operate. This process minimizes the risk of fraud and ensures legitimacy.

We require proof of a minimum of $1 million in liability insurance and adequate legal cargo protection. 

Additionally, moving companies must offer at least $0.60 per pound in coverage for any broken or damaged items. Most of our partners offer additional coverage. There are associated fees, and the purchase of this protection must be made before the move.

Tax verification is a critical part of our process. We validate that all Waldo Verified companies comply with tax regulations, ensuring financial responsibility and trustworthiness.

Accreditations, such as membership in the Canadian Association of Movers (CAM) and ratings from the Better Business Bureau (BBB), are strong indicators of a company’s credibility. CAM, in particular, ensures its members uphold high industry standards, further demonstrating a company’s expertise.

While some moving companies may not have decades of experience, we evaluate their track record of consistently upholding high-quality standards. Only those demonstrating reliability and excellence are included in our network.

Professionalism is assessed at every touch point: from the first phone call to the company’s website. An outdated or incomplete website can raise concerns, as can poor customer service interactions. These factors help us determine whether a company meets our standards.
