Just click the red “My Moving Dashboard” button and let it walk you every step of the way. You’ll be able to track your progress, access curated service providers, get relevant promotions and even update your address with over 1000 organizations in a few clicks.

You can access your moving dashboard right away without creating an account. You’ll have access to checklists, tips, coordinates of our curated services providers and more.

By creating an account, you will be able to track the progress of your move, use our system to request moving quotes from multiple moving companies, send out change of address notice to over 1000 organizations, and a lot more! It is free to create an account with MovingWaldo, and always will.

MovingWaldo offers free moving concierge services. Our concierges are there to answer your questions and walk you through an easy move. Chat-based service is available to users that created an account.

Some of MovingWaldo’s services are only available in Canada at the moment, but most of our resources can help you no matter where you are moving!

MovingWaldo is a web application, meaning that you can access it from any web browser and on any device. There are no applications to download on the App store. 

Ask Waldo is a community-based Questions and Answers around moving to a new home. You can browse questions from other community members, comment on existing topics or Ask Waldo (ask your moving related question). Note that questions you ask may be posted on the website to help the community, so please avoid personal information.

Finding service providers with MovingWaldo

MovingWaldo is building a network of curated service providers in which you can trust. These service providers are vetted based on reviews from multiple sources, regulatory agencies ratings such as BBB or CAM, years in service, customer service and services offered. We want to make sure that by selecting a service provider listed on MovingWaldo, you feel safe that you are making a sound decision. 

MovingWaldo may or may not have a service agreement with the service providers listed on its platform. While we do receive a commission from some of the providers, we may also decide to list a service provider with whom we are not associated if we believe it has value for our users. 

Changing your address with MovingWaldo

You can access MovingWaldo’s Change of Address Service from your Moving Dashboard. The service allows you to notify over 1000 private and public organizations in Canada in a few clicks!

Once you have entered your moving information once, you will be invited to select the organizations you wish to notify of your new address and we will transfer your moving form.

There are over 1000 organizations available on the service! We can notify organizations such as governmental agencies, financial institutions, insurance carriers, telecom providers, newspapers and magazines, charities, rewards programs, and even more! 

We recommend changing your addresses 3 to 4 weeks before you move. In your form you will indicate the effective date of your move. This information will be transferred to your service providers.

To use MovingWaldo, you will need:

  • Your name and contact information;
  • Your old and new address;
  • The date of your move (approximate).

Some service providers will require additional information, which you should know by heart or easily find in your wallet (example: type of vehicle insured).This information allows organizations to find your records, and it can also act as identification questions.

We are always open for suggestions of new organizations to add to the platform. You can contact us with suggestions here.

If your service provider has the mention DIY, it means that they require that you contact them directly to inform them of your change of address. You can click the link or call the phone number provided in order to change your address quickly. You can also mark this address change as “completed” or add them to your list of favorites to come back to it later. 

As a safety measure, each person who wishes to change his address on the platform must create a unique account. A valid and different email address is required for each account.

First, you will receive an email confirming that MovingWaldo has received your requests. Then, MovingWaldo will send your address changes to the service providers you have selected. Generally, we ask to allow the service providers up to 10 working days to complete the change in your account.

Some service providers send a confirmation. It depends on their internal policy. If you have not received a confirmation within 10 days of your request, we recommend that you confirm directly with your service providers.

Rest assured, MovingWaldo does not ask for your social insurance number (SIN) or bank account numbers. MovingWaldo simply requires your full name and date of birth so that your service providers can identify you. You will also have to enter some information about your move (old and new address, approximate date of your move).

The security of your personal information is a priority for MovingWaldo. Your information will not be disclosed to any third party without your consent. You can refer to our privacy policy for more information.

Technical Support

Make sure you are on the “Create an Account” page and not the “Login” page.

If it still does not work, you can contact us with the following information:

  • The email address you are trying to create an account with;
  • The date of the attempt; 
  • The device you used (computer, tablet, phone, etc.);
  • The reason for your message.

Have you checked your junk emails or social tabs and promotion on Gmail or in Smart Views on Yahoo?

Are you sure of the email address used? If so, you can contact us with the following information:

  • The email address you have used;
  • The date of the attempt;
  • The device you used (computer, tablets, phone, etc.);
  • The reason for your message.

After selecting your suppliers, you can always go back to the Change of Address service page and you will see the organizations notified at the top of the page. In addition, you will receive a confirmation email from MovingWaldo for each organization that you have made a change of address request with.

 

MovingWaldo helps your clients save time, organize themselves and get the best services at the best price for their move. Our online platform helps them tackle their moving checklist, from finding trusted movers all the way to updating their address with over 1000 Canadian organizations in a single click.

Our dedicated moving concierge will assist them with any questions they may have during their moving process. They will also send timely reminders to ensure your clients do not forget anything, such as booking telecom in advance, and changing the address on their driver’s licence to avoid a spicy fine!

You can update your information from your MovingWaldo “Profile” in the drop-down menu. You can then resend your change of address.

It will be important to confirm with your suppliers that the correct address is in your file the next time you contact them.

Signing is important because it certifies to each service provider that you have indeed requested the address change. It is important to reproduce your signature as much as possible! You can do it with your mouse, or with your finger if you are on your phone or your tablet.

When you enter your address, we use the Google Map system to recognize it. That said, sometimes the address is not recognized. In this situation, you will see that the address does not seem to register. Do not worry, it is always possible to fill each field manually!


If you enter the information in each field manually and the problem persists, it is possible that the problem is rather from your browser. Unfortunately, some are more problematic than others. In this case, you can always log off and log on again, or try it on another browser. We recommend using Google Chrome!

Although we try to make sure service providers respond to every quote, it is possible that a service provider may not respond to your quote request if they are not available at the requested date or if they do not offer the services required (for example, not all movers do long distance moves).

Moreover, some service providers may choose to call you to confirm certain information and make a proper quote for you. Make sure to check your phone for missed calls if you have not received a quote by email.

MovingWaldo works with many service providers to unlock group promotions for people moving. If you are unable to claim one of the promotions, please contact us and we will see to resolve the situation. Make sure to include

    • The email address you have used if you created an account;
    • The date of the attempt;
    • The device you used (computer, tablets, phone, etc.);
    • The reason for your message.
