As the head writer at MovingWaldo, I focus on topics that truly resonate with people and align with current trends. Articles on subjects like the cost of living, best neighborhoods to live, safest areas to live, and cost of electricity bills particularly carry more weight in light of the ongoing inflation and economic factors.

While SEO is important, moving and real estate professionals must prioritize trending topics that reflect their mission and values. Even subjects with lower search volume can gain traction if they connect with people, as sharing them helps to amplify their reach organically.

How do you create content that resonates with people planning a move?

The content has to be simple to understand since people are under stress when they are planning a move. It also has to let them know that what they’re going through is normal and that we understand their emotions of stress and anxiety.

Therefore, it’s important to write tips and tricks that are straightforward and have the goal of eradicating all those feelings. Checklists, guides, and infographics are easy ways of putting the information out there without the person feeling even more stressed than they already were.

What’s your favorite part about helping people through their moving journey with your blog articles?

Moving can be very stressful, with concerns such as fear of the unknown (adjusting to a new area and new people), financial stress (cost of the move, movers, and purchasing new items for the home), and worry over valued items being lost or broken.

My personal favorite thing about helping people with this process is creating content that provides them with useful information and actionable advice to help decrease their stress. It brings me joy to know that our articles have made their transition more manageable, and I especially love to hear back from readers who write to us and let us know how much the content has been useful to them.

How do you ensure the information you provide is reliable and accurate?

Ensuring that the information I provide is accurate and reliable is a top priority, particularly in my blog articles where I address sensitive topics like crime statistics and housing prices. To achieve accuracy, I rely on credible government websites as my primary source of information, including the Government of Canada, US government websites, or provincial and state government websites. If government data is unavailable, I turn to credible organizations, companies with a long track record and those that many people trust.
