There are 4 different ways to change your address with Veteran Affairs. The most popular are online or by phone.

  1. Online by selecting Profile in the drop-down menu. To do this, you need to be signed in to VA.gov with a verified account.
  2. By phone at 800-698-2411.

Obligation to Notify Veteran Affairs

If you’re primary address has changed, you must notify Veteran Affairs if you receive benefits or services from any of the following departments:

  • Sign into WAVE (an online verification system). Then click on the Change Address link.

The fastest option

  1. Sign in to your VA.gov account. If you don’t have one, create one here.
  2. Select Profile in the drop-down menu.
  3. Scroll down to the Addresses section.
  4. Click on Edit to change your home and/or mailing address.

*Be prepared with your claim number or Social Security number, your previous address, date of birth, and the exact amount of your monthly VA benefits (if applicable).
